SMBC is seeking an Analyst position to work in the Bank Accounting Department located in Jersey City, NJ. This position will be responsible for SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc, a registered broker dealer, which provides investment securities and other financial services to corporate and institutional clients, focusing on North America and Larin America. The Accounting team oversees financial reporting, regulatory reporting and management reporting functions. This position will perform reporting functions such as preparation of daily reports and reconciliations while also assisting the team with month end closing and audit support. Reporting to the Executive Director of Accounting Group, this position will be responsible for various daily and monthly reporting functions. These functions include preparation of reports and reconciliations, monitoring suspense accounts, investigate and resolve breaks as required. This position will also be expected to assist the team in the month end close process and in external and internal audits. This position will be closely working with other departments within SMBC.
Responsibilities:
Assist the team in providing requested workpapers to internal and external auditors
