Requirements / Responsibilities

• Be able to apply electromagnetic / RF / radar theories to review and critique RF characteristics and its performance and interactions with other RF equipment (e.g., filter, antenna, BER, S / N, I / N, S / I+N)
• Be able to perform and defend the RF link budget (e.g., applying RF characteristics and appropriate propagation model) to demonstrate the RF performance.
• Apply RF / radar theories to review the equipment specifications (e.g., transmitter, receiver, antenna) of any RF / radar equipment against DoD / NTIA / ITU RF / radar standards. Be able to apply RF to justify and defend as how the RF equipment perform and its compliance / non-compliances to RF standards. If the equipment not meeting the communication standards, work with the vendors / program office / designer to recommend how the equipment can be changed to meet DoD / NTIA / ITU standards.
• Follow DoD and NTIA procedures to ensure that equipment meets DoD / national RF standards.
• Be able to work in a dynamic team environment and mentor junior engineers on RF
