ER RN Job Details – Asheville Healthcare Jobs Location : Asheville, NC Unit : Emergency Department (ER) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Start Date : September 8, 2025 End Date : December 8, 2025 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 12 Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratios : Typically 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 (ED behavioral holds) Unit Size : 101 beds Documentation System : Cerner EMR Team Environment : Techs, unit clerks, and a collaborative, supportive healthcare staff Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1530 - $1640 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an Emergency Room RN Experience in Level II trauma center and high-volume Emergency Department (100,000 visits / year) preferred Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (prior to start date) ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork skills and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Professionalism and respectful behavior toward patients and healthcare staff ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations Perform advanced clinical procedures and operate Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and other emergency room equipment Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR Maintain patient safety and comply with hospital protocols Update patient boards and communicate effectively with patients throughout their visit Support a collaborative healthcare team, including techs and unit clerks Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed Uphold high standards for patient experience, including AIDET communication Why Choose Asheville for Your Nursing Career?
