ER RN Job Details – Asheville, NC Location : Asheville, NC 28801 Unit : Emergency Department (ER) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 9 / 22 / 2025 – End : 12 / 22 / 2025) Shift : 12 Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,530 - $1,640 Patient Ratios : Typically 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 (ED behavioral holds) Unit Size : 101 beds Scheduling : Every other weekend required; must meet department needs Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an Emergency Room RN Preferred : Experience in Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000 visits / year) Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state) Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be current before start date) ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback Commitment to positive patient experience and respectful communication (AIDET) Navy scrubs required Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced clinical setting Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary teams Operate Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and document patient care using Cerner EMR Float to all sections of the Emergency Department as needed Maintain accurate patient boards and ensure effective communication throughout patient visits Follow department policies, guidelines, and attendance standards Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive healthcare team culture The Emergency Department is recognized for advanced technology, teamwork, and commitment to serving Asheville's multicultural community.
