Job Description

The Warehouse Loader is responsible for a variety of warehouse duties including loading products for customer orders. You will ensure that the material loaded for delivery matches customer orders and work safely by attending safety meetings and following all safety procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks with products to ship to customers.
• Operate a forklift; forklift operator experience and certification is a must.
• Lift extremely heavy, awkward products (up to 50-100 pounds with a helper) repeatedly to store and load onto a truck.
• Work in a non-temp controlled facility by the docks, being comfortable with outside elements.
• Perform traditional warehouse duties and physical work.
• Take direction without requiring constant supervision.

Work Environment

Work in a 95,000 sq. foot facility that is temp controlled with heat in winter. The environment is typical of a carpentry / distributor facility. Be prepared for hot summer months, but rest assured there are fans and cool treats available to help combat the heat. Hours are Monday through Friday, 2pm to 10 : 30pm or until the completion of the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
