Our features are designed for developers, owners, property managers, and tenants, and our products lower operating costs and improve tenant satisfaction.

Our Solution
Developers and owners no longer need to run building wiring or install in-unit hardware. Property managers can grant building access, revoke permissions, and review entry logs from an online dashboard. Residents can open doors from their smartphones, issue visitor access, and see who is trying to enter the building.

The Core Platform at ButterflyMX is the foundation the rest of our products build on: the access methods residents use to enter their buildings, the management tools property teams use to control who gets in and when, and the partnerships that extend our reach across the proptech ecosystem. We're hiring a Sr. PM to own this surface and shape it to support our next stage of growth. This is a role for someone who thinks in systems and primitives, who is energized by partnership work, and who can hold a high bar for a product that millions of residents, operators, and channel partners depend on every day.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for our core access platform

• Build for many audiences at once: residents, property managers, and channel partners across a variety of segments.

• Expand and deepen our partnership ecosystem, including property management software integrations, access control hardware, smart home platforms, and adjacent proptech surfaces where we can extend value

• Identify where AI can improve access decisions, surface anomalies, and reduce operational load for property teams and build those capabilities in ways that earn trust

• Conduct rigorous discovery by getting close to residents, on-site property staff, and channel partner teams, sharpening the problem definition while iterating with Design and Engineering on the solution

• Establish the metrics that matter for a platform product and hold yourself accountable to them

Requirements

• 7+ years in product management with a track record of owning products from concept to market, including experience with platforms, APIs, or integration-heavy products

• Platform instincts: you think in primitives, you design for extensibility, and you understand the tradeoffs between flexibility and opinionation

• Partnership fluency: you have built or expanded ecosystems where third parties depend on you, and you understand the product, commercial, and technical tradeoffs that come with that

• B2B2C fluency: you have experience building products where the end user and the buyer are different people, and you know how to serve both without compromising either

• AI-native thinking: you approach product problems by asking how intelligent systems can improve the experience, not by adding AI as an afterthought.

• A builder's mindset: you don't just write specs and hand them off. You prototype, tinker, use the tools available to you today to explore ideas quickly, and you close the loop between what you ask engineering to build and how it actually works

• Sharp communication: you can influence across engineering, design, go-to-market, and leadership. You write well, present clearly, and earn trust without authority

Bonus: at least one of

• Experience in proptech, multifamily real estate, or property operations

• Experience building or scaling a partner or integration ecosystem

• Background in identity, access control, IoT, or other infrastructure-adjacent product areas
