Led by our staff of RCDDs, RF and wireless engineers, and network and systems engineers; our technology practices include Cellular and First Responder Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS/ERRCS), Network Infrastructure (LAN/WAN), Enterprise and Guest Wi-Fi (WLAN), Electronic Security Systems (ACS/CCTV), Audio-Visual, Overhead Paging & Intercom Systems, and construction of Low Voltage and Structured Cabling Systems including copper, fiber optic (including Air-Blown Fiber), and underground (outside plant) cable. Our California, Nevada, and public utility communications installers and technicians are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). The Technician I(90%) is an entry-level field technician responsible for supporting low-voltage installations throughout Southern California. Working under the direction of senior technicians and project leadership, this role assists with basic cabling tasks, equipment installation, labeling, and jobsite preparation. The Technician I is expected to learn industry standards, develop technical skills, and contribute to successful project execution while maintaining T&D Communications’ quality and safety standards. Requirements Experience as a Low Voltage / Data Cable Technician. Experience leading and managing small crews of 2-8 technicians. Strong background in installing and troubleshooting structured cabling systems in retail environments. Able to meet the physical requirements of the job. Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, or weekend shifts as the jobs require. Strong knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA). Please list certifications if any. Industry-specific certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, Belden, Corning) Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and site maps. Experience working with Copper and Fiber. Ability to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights of 40 plus feet. Reliable transportation. Must have knowledge of cabling infrastructure. Excellent customer relationship and communication skills with Project Managers; verbal and written. Highly proficient with the use of email, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn internal systems. Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, etc. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years. Summary As a Foreman/Supervisor, you will be a pivotal figure in overseeing construction projects and managing a team to ensure successful project completion. With core skills in OSHA compliance, project scheduling, and budgeting, you will be responsible for coordinating construction activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and managing project finances effectively. Your premium skills in utilizing construction management software such as Procore and Bluebeam will enable you to streamline project workflows and enhance productivity. Additionally, your relevant skills in blueprint reading and quality control will be instrumental in maintaining project quality standards.
