We provide a generous compensation and benefits package, including incentive plans, 401(k), paid time off and company paid medical, dental and vision care.**About the Role:**As an accountant, you would be responsible for managing financial records, reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and accounting functions related to coal mining operations. This role supports operational management by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The accountant works closely with corporate finance and sales and marketing teams.## **Key Responsibilities*** Assist in the preparation of the month end close process, including journal entries and allocations, variance analysis, and balance sheet account reconciliations.* Responsible for the accounting of company-wide trade receivables/revenue transactions.* Responsible for maintaining a high level of communication between the company,its customers and the sales and marketing team.* Responsible for assisting with the preparation of cash forecast updates in accordance with the treasury team.* Act as the accounting liaison between the sales and finance teams.* Assist in the review and implementation of sales contracts alongside the sales team.* Assist with the annual financial statement audit and other requests from internal and external auditors.* Responsible for maintaining detailed supporting documentation as required by internal Sarbanes-Oxley compliance guidelines.* Communicate with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner.**Who You are:*** Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.* Minimum of 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.* Experience in mining, construction, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments is preferred.* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.* Ability to handle confidential financial information.* Strong communication and teamwork skills.**Environment and Safety*** Ensure adherence to State, Federal and Company workplace policies and standard work procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control.* Maintain a high level of Safety performance through effective communication, monitoring, and revision of standard work procedures.* Identify and report safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage at the workplace.* Attend and participate in all scheduled safety meetings and training.* Ensure adherence to environmental policy, work standards, management plans and regulatory obligations and requirements.**Physical Requirements – Office:*** **Sitting**: Being able to sit at a computer for extended periods* **Lifting**: Being able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally or a negligible amount frequently* **Repetitive motion**: Being able to move the hands, wrists, and/or fingers substantially* **Visual acuity**: Having close visual acuity for reading, preparing data, and viewing a computer terminal* **Walking**: Being able to walk short distances* **Noise**: Working in moderate noise* **Confined spaces**: Working in a confined area* **Environmental factors**: Being exposed to environmental factors that could stress or pressure the worker### About UsWarrior Met Coal is a leading producer and exporter of metallurgical coal for the global steel industry from underground mines located in Brookwood, Alabama, southwest of Birmingham and near Tuscaloosa.
