Director of Internal Communications
We're looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Internal Communications. This is a high-impact role for a communications leader who thrives at both the strategic and hands-on level. We're looking for someone who can work with senior leaders to set the internal communications vision for the entire organization, ensuring our team members feel informed and connected to our mission in a fully-remote environment.
The Director will partner closely with Deel's most senior leaders to craft key narratives, drive alignment on critical announcements, and build a robust internal communications function. This role will sit within the communications team and work closely with other key functions including the People team.
Responsibilities include defining Deel's internal communications strategy, partnering with senior leadership to understand priorities, partnering with the external communications team to internalize major company announcements, acting as a strategic partner during organizational changes, managing channels for disseminating timely information for a distributed workforce, designing and implementing strategies to boost signal and reduce noise, managing and helping execute a thoughtful calendar of internal events, and more.
Qualifications include 8+ years of experience in internal or employee communications within a high-growth, global organization, proven track record of building and scaling internal communications functions, expertise in managing internal communications channels, familiarity with and enthusiasm for AI and emerging communications technology, collaborative instincts, and a proven ability to work effectively across teams, time zones, and cultures.
