BASIC PURPOSE: The basic purpose of this position is to improve existing and implement new processes into our various accounting systems to ensure alignment with best practices. Processes need to be scalable, efficient and lead to accuracy in the financial statements. To achieve these goals, this person would need to have good working relationships with their counterparts in the front and mid office, Treasury, Income Tax, Indirect Tax, and Financial Reporting, and work towards solutions that are better for Musket in general. This role will not have daily tasks or deliverables but is responsible for implementing new businesses in such a way that they flow easily in accounting and fix any that have friction. Each improvement will be a project with cross collaboration with the commercial group, the accountants who will serve the purpose long term, and IT who will create the solution.
