Job description

Staff Accountant And Financial Analyst Position

This position consists of some Staff Accountant and Financial Analyst duties.

The Staff Accountant performs accounting duties under the direction of the Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. This position performs various duties related to monthly accounting functions, productivity reporting, financial and statistical analysis, audits and special projects as assigned.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Prepares and enters end-of-month journal entries.
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts.
  • Inputs monthly accruals of expenses.
  • Supports NRMC development of budgetary and financial/operational information systems development/deployment.
  • Prepares end-of-month statistic spreadsheets.
  • Performs end-of-month financial statement and statistical analysis.
  • Prepares audit & cost report spreadsheets/schedules.
  • Prepares statistic reports for audits.
  • Backup to payroll and accounts payable.
  • Invoices and records collections for NRMC rental properties.
  • Records miscellaneous cash on a daily basis.
  • Compiles labor and statistical information for bi-weekly productivity reporting.
  • Performs monthly accounting functions for NRMC foundation.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Competencies include:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products, proficient Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job duties and special assignments.
  • Ability to resolve routine problems.
  • Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information and materials.

Supervisory responsibility is none.

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Business degree required.

Preferred education and experience:

  • Previous healthcare accounting experience preferred.
  • One or more years in a general accounting environment preferred.
  • Years of experienced may be considered in lieu of Accounting or Business degree.
