Overview Engineering Recruiter and Talent Advocate - Connecting people to work in ways that enrich their lives Kelly Engineering is seeking an Environmental Health Safety Specialist to join one of our leading clients in the Chemical Manufacturing industry at their Piedmont, SC site. Please apply to learn more! Note: This is a unique role with qualities involving Technical Writing, Documentation, and HSE focused on fire protection systems. This position is expected to evolve into more of an HSE Engineer/Specialist role. Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00/hr (Higher DOE) Responsibilities Consolidate, update, and create fire protection system documentation and new documentation as required and directed by the HSE Manager. Compile and update documentation for all installed fire safety systems, including: Fire piping drawings and design information Foam system design information and drawings Alarm documentation Procedures, drawings, PM plans, testing/inspection protocols Field-verify installed equipment and ensure all key equipment is labeled in the field. Create concise One Page/Point Lessons for alarm management and system operation. Gather and organize inspection and testing records for all installed systems. Collect data on maintenance plans for installed systems, including: PM numbers, Equipment IDs, Task lists Tabulate maintenance and testing requirements per FM Global requirements and Company HSE rules Identify and address gaps in documentation by creating new documents or updating existing as needed. Coordinate and pull information from vendors as required. Work within company IT systems and file structures to locate and retrieve required documentation. Provide training and support for documentation and procedures as needed.
