Associate General Counsel, P&C Insurance Regulatory (NYC, NJ, or CT) Our client, a leading global Property & Casualty insurance organization, is seeking an experienced insurance regulatory attorney to join its U.S. regulatory legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile strategic initiatives while partnering closely with business leaders, regulators, and internal stakeholders across a large and complex insurance platform. Role & Responsibilities Prepare and review insurance regulatory filings, including holding company and change-of-control transactions. Partner with state insurance departments on filings, approvals, examinations, and regulatory inquiries. Advise business teams on P&C insurance regulatory matters impacting strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations. Support financial and market conduct examinations, consumer complaints, and regulatory requests. Monitor regulatory developments and provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders. Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Government Affairs on strategic regulatory projects and enterprise initiatives. Key Skills MUST HAVE: JD & admittance to at least one state. MUST HAVE: 4+ years of major law firm or in-house experience in the insurance industry. MUST HAVE: Property & Casualty insurance regulatory experience. Experience preparing insurance regulatory filings and interacting with state insurance departments. Strong drafting, legal research, analytical, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
