Senior Accountant - $110K + Bonus (New York)

The search division recruits highly skilled professionals on a direct hire and consulting basis. We service our clients primarily in the NYC area as well nationally through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada).

Our manufacturing client is looking to augment their corporate accounting team with the addition of a Senior Accountant. This position will report into the Corporate Controller and manage the day to day accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Review journal entries and accruals prepared by 3rd party including professional fees and interest, and oversee the monthly close process
• Review monthly trial balances and prepare monthly add-backs for financial reporting.
• Manage all intercompany accounting activities, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and monthly management fee entries.
• Own the weekly inventory reconciliation process, investigate variances, and post necessary adjustments in coordination with Operations.
• Prepare and coordinate payment and wire requests, ensuring appropriate approvals and timely execution.
• Manage the funding of weekly and bi-weekly payroll and contractor payments.
• Support the annual audit process by preparing PBC schedules, responding to auditor requests, and providing supporting documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience
• CPA and/or MBA is a plus
• Prior experience working in manufacturing/distribution industry a plus
• Advanced excel is a must
• Sage 100 experience
