Our client, an established innovator in advanced electronic and optical technologies, is seeking a Product Development & Integration Engineer to help transform sophisticated optical products into reliable, production-ready solutions. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who understands how complex optical systems work and wants to influence the entire product journey, from early development and technical validation through manufacturing launch and long-term performance.

Focus:

• Coordinate the progression of complex optical hardware from engineering development through qualification, production introduction, and ongoing manufacturing support.
• Evaluate product specifications, system performance, and technical tradeoffs to identify potential challenges before production release.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to strengthen product readiness, improve production consistency, and support scalable manufacturing.
• Analyze optical, electrical, and RF-related performance data to investigate product issues, identify potential causes, and guide technical resolutions.
• Support engineering changes, component replacements, technical documentation, and qualification activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Partner with design, testing, reliability, supply chain, and operations teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain alignment across development stages.
• Provide ongoing product-level engineering support to address manufacturing yield concerns, reliability issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Skill Set:

• Strong technical background in optical or optoelectronic hardware, preferably involving optical transceivers, optical modules, or comparable integrated systems.
• Experience supporting complex hardware products through development, engineering qualification, manufacturing introduction, and production.
• Systems engineering knowledge, including product requirements, design intent, performance considerations, and technical tradeoffs.
• Ability to interpret engineering performance data, including RF or high-speed electrical testing, and investigate product yield or reliability issues.
• Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams, including design, manufacturing, testing, reliability, and operations.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management, engineering change processes, manufacturing qualification, and structured technical problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field, with relevant professional experience and availability for onsite onboarding in Colorado Springs for approximately 3 to 6 months.
