Salary : $106,300 - 175,400 per year
Requirements :
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of five years in Technology is essential. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and three years of work experience in Technology will be accepted.
- Proficient understanding of the SMP / E software installation process, analyzing PTFs and HOLDDATA, and triaging HIPER, FIXCAT, and PE’d PTFs.
- Familiarity with the creation of new CICS and IMS regions and the ability to start tasks and address spaces while migrating new transaction definitions.
- Experience supporting z / OS Connect, TPX, CA GEN, EOS, and other CICS / IMS ISV software is desirable.
- A minimum of seven years in Technology experience is preferred, with at least two years in a technical lead role.
- Advanced knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Networking, Databases, Servers, and Storage is preferred.
- Expertise in one or more of the following technical skills : Foundational IT Infrastructure, Operating Systems, and Software.
- Knowledge of process discipline and IDLC methodology is valuable.
Responsibilities :
Adhere to Travelers' change management processes regarding change windows, lead times, ServiceNow requests, and temporary access escalation.Understand Travelers' business groups and products to support the business needs and availability of individual CICS and IMS regions.Consult with business groups and other Technology teams on application development, new feature exploitation, proof of concepts, and security enhancements.Attend and potentially lead monthly meetings with IBM and ISV to discuss product roadmaps and incidents.Connect CICS & IMS to other technologies like MQ and DB2, configure z / OS Connect for application API deployments, and enable CICS transactions.Develop and test solutions for high availability and disaster recovery, with occasional weekend work and after-hours on-call support.Create operational tactics and plans aligned with strategic objectives for assigned technologies and projects.Drive the execution of departmental and corporate programs and leverage infrastructure technology to develop or redesign technology solutions.Foster effective alliances across the technical and business community and interact with customers to yield optimal results.Manage multiple tasks and prioritize according to business priorities and production availability requirements.Serve as a technical expert and provide consultancy across service delivery organizations (SDO).Perform additional duties as assigned.Technologies :
