Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures while ensuring patient safety and delivering exceptional care. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing high-quality patient experiences.
Responsibilities :
- Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, and vascular interventions
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining processes, obtaining consent, and ensuring safety and comfort
- Operate imaging equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to capture high-quality images throughout procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and condition, providing support during and after procedures
- Ensure sterile technique and proper handling of equipment and supplies
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and imaging data
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and radiation protection protocols
Requirements
Qualifications :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related fieldCompletion of an accredited radiologic technologist programARRT certification in Radiography (R); additional certification in Vascular-Interventional (VI) or Cardiac-Interventional (CI) preferredCurrent state license (as required)1-2 years of experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or related specialty (preferred)Strong technical skills and knowledge of radiology equipment and proceduresExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsCommitment to patient safety, privacy, and compassionate careBenefits
