Description

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist supports the HR Manager in coordinating and implementing HR programs across BYU-Pathway Worldwide with a primary focus on student and intern employment. This role blends day-to-day HR operations with meaningful mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Youll coordinate hiring processes support onboarding and guide a team of 510 student HR Assistants in their learning and growth. Youll also partner with managers to ensure each employees experience reflects the care and purpose central to our mission.

Were looking for an HR professional with a few years of experience ideally 24 but we also welcome applicants with broader experience who feel connected to our mission and values. The ideal individual is eager to make an impact keep learning and grow within a mission-driven organization that values both professional and spiritual development.

Schedule & Location

Standard office schedule : MondayFriday 8 : 00 a.m.5 : 00 p.m.

Hybrid work model (minimum 3 days per week in the Salt Lake City office).

Occasional travel (13 days per year for training or conferences).

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Coordination :

Lead the recruitment hiring and onboarding process for student and intern employees.

Partner with managers to align workforce needs with organizational goals.

Maintain accurate employee data and records to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Support full-time hiring as needed through interview coordination and candidate communication.

Mentor and develop a team of student HR Assistants through regular one-on-one meetings and training.

Employee Relations & Development :

Advise managers and employees on HR policies and best practices.

Foster a positive inclusive and respectful workplace culture.

Support employee development and performance management processes

Contribute to HR projects that enhance communication engagement and growth.

Compliance & Policy Administration :

Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws including those governing student employment and visa requirements.

Stay current on HR regulations and collaborate with legal and HR professionals as needed.

Assist with updates to policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance and consistency.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required :

Bachelors degree in human resources business or a related field.

24 years of HR experience (professional or internship).

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

A willingness to reside within commuting distance of Salt Lake City Utah and work on-site at least three days per week.

Fluent in English.

Preferred :

Fluent in a language other than English including Spanish and / or Portuguese; additional languages are a plus.

Experience in an international or multicultural work environment.

HR certification (PHR SHRM-CP or similar) or progress toward certification.

Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
