Summary :
This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting month-end close processes, and providing insightful financial analysis for decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to improve financial processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepaids, and revenue recognition.Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting.Support Regional VP of Finance with requested analysis.Ensure timely bank reconciliations, journal entries, and expense tracking.Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are properly coded, approved, and processed on time.Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, and inefficiencies.Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and financial best practices.Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows.Support the integration and optimization of accounting software and reporting tools.Assist in developing policies and procedures for financial reporting and functions.Experience and Skills :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a senior or supervisory role.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close procedures.Experience managing or supervising accounting staff, including AP and AR.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, COINS, ESC or similar ERP systems).Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate across departments.Physical Demands / Work Environment :
Work performed primarily in an office environment.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift and carry light office supplies up to ten (10) pounds.Visual acuity to read and interpret financial documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens.Hearing ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external contacts.
