Job Title : Global Director of Operations – US & Malaysia Manufacturing and Supply Chain
Location : Global / Hybrid (On-Site in MN facility, when not traveling)

Position Summary
The Global Director of Operations will oversee and drive operational excellence across all manufacturing and supply chain functions in the U.S. and Malaysia . This role is responsible for ensuring global alignment in manufacturing strategy, leading efficient product transfers between sites, building and localizing the supply base in Asia , and ensuring scalable, cost-effective operations that support customer and business growth.
This is a key global leadership role that requires a proven track record in managing multi-site operations, strategic supplier development, and cross-functional leadership in a high-mix, high-precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Operations Leadership
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all manufacturing and supply chain functions in the U.S. and Malaysia.
- Drive operational alignment, process standardization, and performance improvement across all global sites.
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that ensure capacity, capability, and flexibility to meet global demand.
2. Product Transfer and Localization
Lead successful new product introductions (NPIs) and product transfers between global sites, ensuring quality, schedule, and cost objectives are achieved.Oversee the localization of the supply base in Asia , reducing lead times, improving cost competitiveness, and strengthening regional resilience.Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and process qualification.3. Operational Excellence
Champion lean manufacturing , Six Sigma , and continuous improvement initiatives to drive productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction.Implement global KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor and drive improvement in quality, delivery, cost, and safety.Foster a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing sites.4. Financial and Capacity Management
Develop and manage the global manufacturing and supply chain budgets , including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and cost-of-goods targets.Lead capacity planning and capital investment strategies to support current and future business growth.Optimize global manufacturing footprint and resource allocation to balance cost, risk, and customer responsiveness.5. Supply Chain and Supplier Management
Oversee global supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.Develop a strong, regionally balanced supplier base that supports quality, innovation, and cost objectives.Drive supplier performance improvement programs and establish long-term strategic partnerships.6. People and Organizational Development
Build and develop high-performing global operations and supply chain teams.Ensure organizational readiness, leadership development, and succession planning across both regions.Promote cross-site collaboration, cultural integration, and a unified global operations culture.Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Experience :Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in global manufacturing and supply chain leadership roles.
Experience in precision manufacturing , electromechanical assembly , or system integration environments required.Proven success in product transfers , supply base localization , and multi-site operations management .Strong background in lean / continuous improvement methodologies and financial management .Prior leadership experience in both U.S. and Asia manufacturing environments strongly preferred.Skills :Strategic thinker with strong analytical and execution capabilities.
Excellent cross-cultural leadership and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead complex, matrixed, and global teams.Proficiency in ERP / MRP systems and global supply chain tools.Performance Metrics
