Job description
Mission:
Ensure that all the duties of the overseeing department are carried out safely, accurately, and timely. Foster a culture that focuses on safety, people, quality, responsiveness, and cost.
Key Outcomes (KPI’S):
Outcome: Complete supervisor responsibilities to ensure proper oversight and support of the department
- Develop, recommend and implement measures to improve WHSE methods, equipment performance, quality of product and safety of staff.
- Issue corrective actions.
- Assist with mid-year and annual performance evaluations.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Ensure KPI scorecard goals are being met or exceeded.
Outcome: Lead employees and ensure employees in their area are trained properly
- Demonstrate equipment operations, work, and safety rules.
- Perform the same work duties as those whom you supervise, and/or perform more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance.
- Rewarding and disciplining employees including recommending employment termination actions.
- Address complaints and resolve problems as necessary
- Ensure positive and negative feedback is given to associates promptly through coaching.
- Perform process audits to ensure quality and standardization of processes and direct observation.
Outcome: Ensure efficiency and quality within the department
- Plan and analyze work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels, to ensure that activities are performed effectively, and to respond to fluctuating workloads.
- Collaborate with all employees to solve work-related problems.
- Review work throughout the process and at completion, to ensure that it has been performed properly.
- Meet or exceed department metrics for all responsible areas
- Work with the team on continuous improvement activities
