We are actively seeking a dynamic, seasoned and strategic Controller for our Healthcare division. The successful candidate will join our executive team and will be responsible for the overall financial management of our healthcare operations. This includes the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements and reporting, advice on financial decisions, oversight of accounting and auditing activities, and ensuring that the company’s financial commitments are met.

Responsibilities :

As our Controller, your responsibilities will include :

1. Overseeing all financial operations including the revenue cycle management, monthly close, and financial planning & analysis.

2. Leading the financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with standard accounting procedures, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.

3. Managing ad hoc projects related to financial and operational improvements and efficiencies.

4. Providing strategic guidance on mergers and acquisitions, working closely with the executive team to ensure financial and strategic goals are achieved.

5. Preparing and presenting monthly financial reports, including budget, income, profit & loss statements, and other reports detailing the company's financial status.

6. Working with the management team to develop annual budgets and financial plans that align with the company's strategic plan.

7. Coordinating with the external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of the annual audit.

8. Ensuring the company is in compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations and ensuring filings are completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications :

To be considered for this role, you must possess :

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry, hospital system experience is strongly preferred.

3. Extensive knowledge of healthcare accounting and financial practices.

4. Proficiency in Sage or equivalent accounting software.

5. Strong knowledge of financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end / year-end close process.

6. Proven experience in managing the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

7. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

8. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

9. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial managers and executives.
