What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions. Observe for suspicious activity and report any incidents, hazards, or unusual circumstances to appropriate personnel. Assist residents, staff, and visitors with inquiries and directions, maintaining a professional and approachable presence. Document security-related activities and incidents according to site protocols. Support Allied Universal operations by following post orders and maintaining communication with supervisory staff. Minimum Requirements : At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
