We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Project Accountant to join our construction team. You will be stepping into a fast-paced, results-driven environment where your expertise in job cost, construction accounting, and project accounting will be highly valued. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the financial health and growth of our company by ensuring accurate and efficient handling of our financial data.

Responsibilities :

As a Permanent Project Accountant, your responsibilities will be diverse and challenging, providing you with an opportunity to make a significant impact on our company. Your key responsibilities will include :

1. Overseeing all project accounting functions, including job cost tracking, T&M, time and material, and AIA billing / invoicing.

2. Utilizing Sage, Vista Viewpoint, and other accounting software to maintain accurate financial records and reports.

3. Conducting regular financial analysis, preparing budget reports, and making recommendations for cost optimization.

4. Collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and project budgeting.

5. Ensuring all financial transactions are in compliance with financial policies and regulations.

6. Providing financial insights and reports to the management team to aid strategic decision-making.

7. Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal controls.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Project Accountant position will have a robust blend of skills and experience that include :

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in job cost, construction accounting, and project accounting.

2. Proficiency in using Sage, Vista Viewpoint, and other relevant accounting software.

3. Extensive knowledge of T&M, Time & Material, and AIA billing / invoicing.

4. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5. A professional accounting certification, such as CPA or CMA, is preferred.

6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with various departments.

8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
