Job Highlights
- Coordinate patient flow and intake, including vitals, health history, and chart preparation to ensure readiness for exams and procedures
- Assist with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, medication administration, nebulizer treatments, and skin testing, following verified competencies
- Support providers during exams, document care accurately in Epic, and communicate medical instructions and test results to patients
- Maintain clinical areas and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, stocking, sterilization, and quality control, while managing inventory and supplies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, contribute to quality improvement efforts, and provides cross-coverage and support across clinical areas as needed
Candidate Profile
A current medical assistant certificate from one of the following organizations : AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), AMT (American Medical Technologists), NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing), NAHP (National Association for Health Professionals), or NHA (National Health Career Association) is requiredCurrent CPR / BLS certifications through American Red Cross or AHA are required1 year of clinical experience, phlebotomy skills, and Epic Ambulatory experience is preferredRelevant soft skills include strong communication, customer service, computer, and organizational skillsAdditional Information
