Staff Accountant Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Oakville, Washington. This is a contract position with the potential for extension or transition to a long-term role in the future. The role involves working closely with the accounting team to perform essential financial tasks and ensure accurate reporting while supporting ongoing reconciliation projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage and calculate depreciation schedules for company assets.
• Assist with the cleanup and review of monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Collaborate directly with the Controller to provide support on general ledger-related tasks.
• Oversee inventory tracking and related accounting processes.
• Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel to support accounting functions.
• Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Handle corporate tax returns and sales tax reporting as needed.
• Support the accounting team with other tasks as assigned to meet deadlines.
