Job Summary :
In this role, you will be an integral member of our agile Guidewire Configuration Team, applying your expertise to gather, document, and articulate functional and non-functional business requirements that are already defined. You will work both independently and collaboratively to design and develop Guidewire software applications and related components.
Key Responsibilities :
Engage with the Guidewire Configuration Team to design, develop, and support software applications and integrations.Gather, document, and articulate both business requirements and technical specifications.Collaboratively design and develop Guidewire applications and related components.Conduct unit, regression, and integration testing to ensure the highest software quality.Monitor production systems and proactively identify and address potential issues across various environments and platforms.Research and troubleshoot cross-functional issues to swiftly resolve system problems.Familiarize yourself with Alfa's interconnected technology framework to understand the implications of software changes.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience totaling at least 10 years in software development.Minimum of 3 years of experience in coding and developing with Guidewire; or at least 2 years and GW Certified Professional certification.Proficient in Java, GOSU, XML, SQL Server, and version control repositories such as BitBucket or GitHub.Claims Center experience is advantageous.Sound understanding of all components of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with peers, management, and product owners.This position offers the flexibility of remote work for candidates in eligible states : Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Occasional travel to our corporate headquarters in Montgomery may be required for meetings or training.
