BASIC PURPOSE This position is responsible for providing a safe and dependable group transportation in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, and the philosophy of The Salvation Army to enhance the programs and ministries of the Corps.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Seasonal

• Safely transport all bell ringers to and from designated bell ringing sites in a timely manner. Drop off and collect kettles from bell ringing sites
• Ensure that bell ringers fill in their timecards as required
• Keep extra supplies of bells, aprons, timecards and other bell ringer supplies in the vehicle.
• To refill the gas tank as needed or communicate any needed repairs to the Corps officer(s)
• To help check on bell ringers to make sure that they are working in the prescribed manner. Report any concerns or complaints about bell ringers or from the stores.
• Keep track of mileage.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

The employee must be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time. Must be able to regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
