The Senior Payroll Specialist reports to the Payroll Director and manages accurate, timely payroll and benefits processing while ensuring compliance and efficiency. As the payroll expert, this role supports audits, resolves employee questions, and collaborates with HR, Finance, and teammates for smooth operations and reliable coverage. About the Role
Process bi-weekly payroll, reconciliations, and 401(k) fundingManage wage garnishments, benefit deductions, enrollments, COBRA, and life event changesCoordinate annual open enrollment and benefit renewalsConduct quarterly 941 reconciliations and support year-end processing (W-2s, 1095-Cs)Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records; ensure ACA compliance and reportingAssist with Workers' Compensation audits, governmental reporting, and data requestsProvide backup support for payroll teammates and HR / community payroll usersParticipate in HRIS / payroll system testing, training, and enhancementsTrain HR contacts and support users while driving process improvements and efficienciesRequirements
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.3-5 years of payroll and / or benefits administration experienceSolid understanding of payroll tax regulations and benefits complianceProficiency in payroll / HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracyStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationTeam-oriented mindset with a willingness to cross-train and support peersJoin Kintura and bring your expertise to a team that values accuracy, collaboration, and making a difference together!
