Position Summary : The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will play an essential role in supporting providers, patients, and families in the delivery of quality pediatric healthcare. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and passionate about working with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities :

Greet patients and families, obtain and document medical histories, vital signs, and developmental screenings.

Assist providers with examinations, procedures, immunizations, and diagnostic tests.

Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply levels.

Administer vaccines and medications as ordered, following safety and documentation protocols.

Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and process point-of-care testing.

Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EHR) using [EHR system name].

Educate patients and families on health maintenance, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

Coordinate patient referrals, prescription refills, and prior authorizations.

Support front office operations as needed, including patient check-in, scheduling, and answering calls.

Adhere to infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications :

Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential through an accredited program (AAMA, AMT, or equivalent).

Current CPR / BLS certification.

Prior experience in a pediatric setting preferred, but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and families.

Proficient in electronic medical records; experience with [EHR system name] a plus.

Ability to multitask, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain a professional, caring demeanor.

Knowledge of pediatric growth and development, vaccination schedules, and common childhood illnesses.
