Safety Qualification Lead

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsible for safety compliance as it pertains to the qualification of new applicants, as well as maintaining the current qualification standard for the fleet. This role also assists in the management of continuous training and preventive measures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Process new driver applicants through the company's C / TPA (First Advantage) system.
• Collect, review, and maintain all required qualification documents to ensure compliance with company and federal standards.
• Coordinate the adjudication of applicants in alignment with company qualification matrices and applicable ban the box regulations.
• Oversee ongoing safety qualification compliance for all active fleet drivers.
• Conduct annual driver reviews in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
• Conduct annual limited queries of CDL holders in accordance with FMSCA requirements.
• Collaborate with the C / TPA to manage drug and alcohol program compliance, ensuring timely execution of random testing, proper documentation and retrieval of accurate figures for FMSCA compliance.
• Continuous accurate data entry of multiple database inputs for historical and record keeping.
• Monitor and maintain performance metrics for the fleet, identifying trends and recommending corrective action for non-compliance.
• Assist with accident registry as necessary.
• Other duties and functions as assigned.

OTHER FUNCTIONS : Thorough knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and a minimum of 5 years' safety-sensitive management experience or equivalent.

REQUIRED EDUCATION : High school education and minimum 3 years work experience in safety sensitive management.
