SMS Staffing Inc. is Hiring Immediately for a Staffing Specialist (Recruiter)!

Job Title :

  • Staffing Specialist (Recruiter) Location : Gurnee, IL Job Type : Contract Pay : Competitive (based on experience) Shift : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm SMS Staffing is on the lookout for a dynamic Staffing Specialist (Recruiter) : As a Recruiter, you will play a key role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent across SMS Staffing Inc.

Responsibilities :

  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for multiple industries, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company culture.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, from posting job openings to new onboarding hires.
  • Verify I-9 documentation, W-2 Tax forms, and process background checks / Drug screenings for new hires.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to track candidate progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines to meet immediate and future staffing needs.
  • Manage job postings across multiple platforms and social media channels to attract qualified talent.
  • Craft compelling job postings and manage postings on job boards and media channels Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and discuss candidate qualifications Advise managers on training, development, and coaching needs for new hires Conduct regular follow-ups with candidates to ensure engagement and satisfaction.

    • Present weekly recruitment reports to management Requirements :

  • 1-2 years of proven experience in full-cycle recruitment or staffing High School Diploma or equivalent Strong organizational and time management skills with a proactive approach Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) A keen eye for detail and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Preferred Qualifications : Bilingual (English and Spanish) Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels Strong problem-solving skills A self-starter with a professional and polished demeanor Come join the SMS team ! It takes more than top-notch facilities, modern equipment, and innovative technologies to become our customers’ most trusted supplier.
