Backend Team Lead

A company is looking for a Backend Team Lead (Kotlin) to join their remote team and help scale and optimize their platform.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement new Kotlin-based services, such as billing and marketing integrations

Develop and maintain gRPC APIs with proper versioning to support long-term scalability

Oversee code quality and provide guidance to Kotlin developers

Required Qualifications

Strong expertise in Java or Kotlin, including concurrency and performance tuning

Experience with modern frameworks like Spring Boot, Quarkus, or Ktor

Mastery of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL schema design and optimization

Familiarity with API protocols including REST, gRPC, and WebSockets

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
