Work Environment : Hybrid (3 day in office / 2 days remote)

The E-Billing Specialist is responsible for the administration and management of the electronic billing process for all e-billed clients.The E-Billing Specialist maintains responsibility for ensuring the timely and successful electronic transmission of all invoices, maintaining contact with the billing attorneys and their legal administrative assistants (LAAs)regarding the status of invoices, and performing other accounting duties according to the established policies and procedures.
This position is eligible to participate in the firm's flexible work program.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Prepare electronic invoices according to the clients outside counsel guidelines and provide quality control checksTransmit invoices electronically and monitor invoice statusesCommunicate with billing attorneys and LAAs on rejections and adjustments and resubmit adjusted or rejected invoicesUpdate billing rates and new timekeepers in client ebilling vendor sitesInput matter budgets and obtain matter ids from the clients, billing attorneys or LAAs needed to e-bill invoicesResponsible for onboarding clients migrating to e-billing including set ups in Financial Management System and integrating with BillBlast.Responsible for onboarding the firm on new e-billing vendor sites as needed and integrating with BillBlastUpdate e-billing data, such as budgets, rates, timekeepers and disbursement mappingIdentify, recommend, and implement enhancements and troubleshoot electronic billing issuesCommunicate all e-billing guidelines and updates to the billing team and ensure compliance with all e-billing guidelines across clients and e-billing systemsMeet with billing attorneys or LAAs to discuss electronic billing processes when requestedWork with Collections to ensure proactive follow-up on aged invoices submitted electronicallyAssist with special projects as neededMeets the departments expectations to retrieve, read and / or respond to firm and client-related e-mail messages during and outside of core business and scheduled work hours by connecting a personal mobile device (smartphone or tablet with a data plan) to the firms networkKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

High school diploma required. Accounting degree or college level accounting classes preferredMinimum five (5) plus years of related e-billing experience in a law firm requiredPrior experience with BillBlast required
