The Ophthalmology Physician provides comprehensive ophthalmological care to veterans, including both clinical and surgical services. Responsibilities include supervising residents, staffing clinics, attending meetings, participating in committees, and ensuring timely medical record management. The role requires collaboration with leadership to meet performance measures and support department initiatives.

The physician is primarily responsible for providing ophthalmological care to veterans both clinically and surgically. They will also be responsible for resident supervision per VA guidelines and for staffing Ophthalmology clinics. Physicians must attend staff meetings and participate on committees assigned. Physicians will be responsible for timely medical records, including computer order / entry and support Section Chief, Chief, Surgical Service and TVHS in obtaining Performance Measures.
