Description :

This position involves working in a busy emergency department with a focus on high reliability and customer service.

The unit is designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center and a STEMI and Stroke Receiving facility.

The team is expected to maintain a high level of organization and prioritize patient safety.

The average number of patients treated daily in the department is approximately 109.

Patient-nurse ratio is 1 : 4, with staffing goals ensuring adequate support for each designated zone.

Registered Nurses must be able to perform critical procedures including 12 lead EKGs.

Experience with fluid management and drug titration is essential.

Registered Nurses will also be expected to read cardiac telemetry and transport patients if necessary.

The department has designated triage rooms and a holding area for patients.

Staff members can expect to float to different zones as needed.

Candidates should have experience with electronic medical record systems.

Weekend and holiday shifts will be part of the schedule, with a rotation requirement.

Floating to other units may be requested at times.

Scrub color is navy blue.

Travelers will work closely with department leaders for support and feedback.
