Position : Assistant to the Production Manager
Work Type : Full-Time
Expected hours : 40 / per week.
Ultimate Image Printing, is a fast-paced, rapidly growing company specializing in digital, offset, and large-format printing. We're passionate about quality and innovation, and we are looking for a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Assistant to the Production Manager.
We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible individual to join our team as an Assistant to the Production Manager. This position requires someone who can wear multiple hats, providing support across operations, production, purchasing, and administration. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of procurement processes, experience within the signage or printing industry, and the ability to adapt to various production and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Production Manager in day-to-day operations, scheduling, and production coordination.
- Manage purchasing and receiving activities, ensuring materials and supplies are ordered, tracked, and received on time.
- Provide administrative support such as preparing reports, maintaining production records, and coordinating communications.
- Support warehouse operations, including inventory management and organization.
- Coordinate or assist in machine maintenance scheduling and tracking.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow and timely project completion.
- Perform other duties as needed to support production and operations.
Required Skills :
Strong understanding of purchasing, receiving, and procurement processes.Experience or familiarity with the signage or printing industry is highly preferred.Experience with Fiery XF / Command Workstation RIP software is a significant plus.Experience with ESKO / iCut Layout software is also a strong advantage.Demonstrates strong loyalty and honesty — integrity is paramount.Knowledge of warehouse operations and machine maintenance.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Possesses excellent conversational and negotiation skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take initiative when needed.Reliable, punctual, and ready to hit the ground running every day — embraces a “job isn’t done until it’s done” mentality.Strong with numbers and math; able to calculate projected costs accurately.Demonstrates good memory, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.Proficiency in Office 365 applications and general administrative tools.Able to follow directions carefully, stay on course, and value open communication and collaborative discussion.Why join us :
