Job descriptionSet up and operate Haas CNC lathes and mills to produce high-quality parts according to engineering specifications. Write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code programs for turning, milling, drilling, and contouring operations. Perform machine setups including tooling, work holding, offsets, and program loading. Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments. Monitor machine performance and adjust optimize cycle times and part quality. Maintain accurate documentation of setups, tool usage, and inspection results. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including zero-tolerance drug testing requirements. 2+ years of experience operating Haas CNC machines (ST-30 / ST-25 lathes and / or VF-4 mill). Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC controls. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T. Pro Experience with multi-axis machining and complex part geometries. Familiarity with ISO or AS9100 quality standards. Basic knowledge of CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, Fusion 360) is a plus. Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred. Position Description : CNC Machine Operator - Haas ST-30 / ST-25 & VF-4
At LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to operate and maintain Haas ST-30 / ST-25 lathes and VF-4 vertical mills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in G-code programming and capable of setting up, running, and inspecting precision-machined components in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
