Engineering Technician

Summary :

Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) is seeking a short-term Engineering Technician or Field Service Engineer (FSE) with an active Secret clearance to support installation and integration services in Fort Carson, CO for a 4-6-month contract. This position would require the FSE to be centrally located for daily operations working from Fort Carson Army Base.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Perform a wide range of technician tasks to include :

Cable routing, mounting, and terminations of electrical assemblies.

  • LRU assembly and installation of subcomponents, cable harnesses, and mounting brackets per build to print drawings.
  • Conduct functional verification and provide inspection reports.
  • Assist with configuration audits and verification of installation work.
  • Read and understand schematics, technical drawings and engineering data and reports.
  • Perform wiring, soldering, operate standard and unique test equipment.
  • Maintain and understand ATSC / site documentation i.e., parts request forms, timecards, maintenance logs, etc.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • 3 years of qualified experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Must have a current US driver's license.
  • If prior US Military, must have an honorable discharge.
  • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation and possess an active secret security clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen.

    • Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, kneel, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
  • Must have the ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
