Staff Accountant

Our client is a hypergrowth PE backed renewable energy company in Northern VA looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team. This role will focus on the month end close process AP and AR with plenty of exposure to all aspect to the Accounting function. This role will report an outstanding Manager and will be in office 4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly quarterly and annual close processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks NetSuite or similar).

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
