Afternoon Babysitter for Child Age 5

We are seeking a responsible and engaging babysitter to care for a 5-year-old child in Chicago, IL, from November 5, 2025, through May 5, 2026. This part-time position will require supervision in the afternoons, with flexible scheduling that includes 1 to 5 one-hour classes per week. The successful candidate should create a fun and safe environment, fostering the child's development and encouraging a love for chess, as per the Chess Wizards program. This role requires a person who can serve as a positive role model and enjoys imparting knowledge, creativity, and good sportsmanship to youngsters. While having some chess ability is necessary, applicants do not need to be champion-level players. Previous teaching or child care experience is beneficial. The role does not require driving, feeding, bathing, or putting the child to bed.
