Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location. Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or exit, ensuring only authorized individuals are allowed into restricted areas. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for retail environments. Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence. Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel. Assist with crowd management and / or line control during peak business hours or special events as needed. Provide directions and general assistance to visitors and staff within the location as required. At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Retail Access Control
As a Security Officer - Retail Access Control in Janesville, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.
