Under direct supervision, perform basic complexity calculations, modeling, and data analysis for water resources projects with a particular focus on riverine and coastal floodplain analyses though hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, risk assessment, and / or hazard mitigation.
As a member of the Water Resources team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by : Performing a variety of routine technical tasks that will provide experience and familiarization with CDM Smith's engineering methods, practices, standards, and company programs; Using prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments; Working under close supervision, receiving specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and expected results.
Job duties will involve handling tasks associated with floodplain mapping and floodplain management, hydrology and hydraulics, and project reviews associated with FEMA Letter of Map Revisions (LOMRs). Tasks will include :
