Valmet, Inc. seeks a Service Engineer 2 in Norcross, GA.
Job duties: Assist in the installation and commissioning of any Valmet equipment and components. Carry out service calls on a preventative and reactive basis as required. Undertaking service and repair of products and systems to deliver against customers’ requirements. Keep accurate records regarding job progress, delays, problems, deliveries, changes, extras, and engineering and fabrication errors. Report completed projects, outlining the activities carried out, faults found during service, and any future recommendations for improving the service offering. Train customer staff in methods to maintain and repair the equipment, ensuring knowledge is transferred. Conduct customer audits to record and analyze process improvement opportunities. Analyze and improve current ways of working and service delivery.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience. Alternatively, employer will accept 5 years of experience in job offered, or a related occupation. Requires 2 years of experience with Electronic troubleshooting. Requires 1 year of experience with the following: Electrical maintenance; Customer relations. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
