Job Purpose and Impact

Lead Data & AI Security Engineer will help solidify the foundation for the company's secure use of data and AI. In this role, you will apply your leadership and knowledge of cybersecurity and data engineering practices to design, implement and maintain roadmap of data & AI security strategy.  You will also lead and coach a security team of engineers to deliver highly scalable security solutions using automation.

Key Accountabilities

• Define and drive the security requirements and long-term technology roadmap for data security products and features, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
• Enforce robust data protection measures, including encryption, access controls, and policy compliance, to safeguard sensitive and regulated information.
• Partner with technology teams and business stakeholders to embed security best practices into data pipelines, management services, and operational workflows.
• Establish real-time monitoring and alerting mechanisms to detect and respond to security incidents and anomalous data access or egress.
• Oversee the security posture of data platforms such as Databricks, focusing on IAM, encryption, and secure configurations .
• Develop and implement a comprehensive security framework to protect AI systems and networks from cyber threats
• Publish technical requirements and guidance to support the secure and responsible adoption of AI solutions across the organization
• Ensure secure handling of sensitive data throughout the AI model lifecycle, from development to deployment, to support business innovation
• Promote awareness of emerging threats, regulatory developments, and industry best practices related to AI and data security
• Maintain and evolve the AI security technology roadmap, driving continuous improvement and adoption of secure AI methodologies

Compensation Data

The expected salary for this position is $150,000 - $200,000.  Compensation varies depending on a wide of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
