American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of peripheral and neuro IR experience for a Level 1 trauma setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an interventional radiology department with 4 IR rooms, including 2 single plane and 2 biplane Siemens c-armsHandles a wide range of neurovascular and peripheral vascular procedures such as angiograms, embolizations, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, PE thrombectomy, intracranial thrombectomy, stent placements, and central line insertionsAssigned in teams of two technologists per room, with defined scrub and circulator rolesLevel 1 trauma, Level 1 PE, and Level 1 stroke center responsibilitiesCerner EMR required for chartingDay shifts : four 10-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PMOn-call duty required every 3rd or 4th weekend starting Friday at 5 : 30 PM through Monday at 7 : 00 AMFloating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility is requiredMain responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for procedures such as angiograms, embolizations, and advanced vascular and neurovascular interventionsCandidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidaysFirst-time travelers are accepted for this assignmentUp to 5 days of requested time off can be auto-approvedLocal candidates are accepted for this roleAny permanent or PRN employee must have a 12-month break before being considered as a travelerScrub attire requirements must be followed per department policy\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years of interventional radiology experience, including both peripheral and neurovascular casesCurrent BLS and ARRT certification required; AHA and RQI acceptedIN or Compact state license required if applicableGraduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited universityExperience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrogram, peripherals, drainages, extremity, abdominal and pelvic vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studiesAbility to scrub both peripheral and neuro casesFamiliarity with Cerner EMR required\n Benefits\n
