GIS Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented GIS Analyst with at least 2 years of professional experience to support spatial data management, analysis, and visualization tasks. The ideal candidate will be proficient in GIS software, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage datasets and generate actionable insights to support project and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Collect, clean, manage, and analyze geospatial data from various sources.

Create high-quality maps, reports, and visualizations to support planning, reporting, and decision-making.

Maintain and update GIS databases, metadata, and documentation.

Perform spatial analysis using tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or other GIS platforms.

Support data integration with other software platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, Excel, SQL databases).

Work collaboratively with engineers, planners, environmental scientists, or other team members depending on project needs.

Assist in field data collection using GPS or mobile GIS tools as needed.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field -or- GIS certificate from a credited university -or- 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge and experience with utility mapping and documentation.
• ESRI ArcGIS Experience (ArcMap, ArcPro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Web App Builder).
• Experience with Google Earth, Google Maps, KMZ’s, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to use Visio, Bluebeam, AutoCad, or other drafting solutions is desired.
• 2+ years of Work Experience in Telecommunications or related fields / utilities is strongly desired.
• Required to learn how to use internal network management software (OSPInsight).
