Description
The Administrative Coordinator performs a variety of administrative, financial, and technical support functions for the Public Works Department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, accuracy in data entry and document management, and a customer service-oriented approach in assisting both internal staff and the public.
Essential Functions :
The Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in keeping the Public Works Department running smoothly and efficiently. This position supports a variety of essential functions, from preparing reports and correspondence to managing service requests and maintaining the department's electronic document system. The role also assists with payroll processing, financial recordkeeping, and purchase order tracking to ensure accuracy and compliance. In addition to handling invoices and data entry, the Administrative Coordinator provides friendly and professional customer service to residents and contractors, supports other staff when needed, and contributes to special projects that help the department deliver high-quality service to the community.

Educational Requirements :
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in general business or related field preferred.
Experience Requirements :
Minimum two (2) years of prior general office experience.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time 37.5 hour per week on-site position that is FLSA non-exempt. Excellent benefits package, including health and life insurance, IMRF pension, 457 retirement plan, vacation time, personal time, paid holidays and sick days. The starting salary range for this position is $56,524 - $67,000 when annualized, depending on qualifications. A complete job description is available by

Hours are Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 00 p.m. Consistent and regular attendance is essential for successfully completing the duties of this position.
