RESIDENTIAL SERVICES COORDINATOR – OAHU
Support Recovery. Strengthen Communities. Lead Housing Services at Mental Health Kokua.
Are you a compassionate leader with a background in mental health services, supportive housing, or case management? Mental Health Kokua (MHK) is hiring a Residential Services Coordinator (RSC) to manage daily operations of our residential behavioral health programs on Oahu. This impactful role blends program oversight, staff supervision, and housing coordination—empowering adults with serious mental illness to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
You'll ensure our group homes run smoothly, support staff and residents, maintain compliance with HUD standards, and help deliver trauma-informed, person-centered care.
Residential Services Coordinator Responsibilities :
- Resident Advocacy & Case Management : Coordinate new admissions, ensure benefit access, and support recovery plans
- Daily Operations : Manage schedules, facility safety, upkeep, emergency response, and resident engagement
- Team Supervision : Lead residential and rehab staff, provide support, coverage coordination, and after-hours consultation
- Housing Oversight : Handle tenant eligibility, rent collection, unit inspections, lease compliance, and HUD standards
- Documentation & Billing : Review records, verify insurance, and ensure timely submission of Medicaid billing
- Administrative Coordination : Work with HR and office staff on payroll, training, compliance, and audits
- Community Engagement : Build positive relationships with neighbors, partners, landlords, and referral sources
Residential Services Coordinator Requirements :
Minimum : High school diploma or equivalent with 5–10 years of experience in human services, behavioral health, or residential support rolesPreferred : Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field and at least 2 years of staff supervision experienceExperience supporting individuals with serious mental illness, dual diagnoses, or co-occurring substance use disordersStrong leadership in group home supervision, rehabilitation program coordination, and crisis interventionSkilled in case management, tenant support services, team development, and conflict resolutionMust pass a criminal background check and maintain current CPR, First Aid, TB clearance, and a valid Hawaii driver’s license with clean abstract.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and travel between program locationsBenefits of Joining MHK :
