Key Role Summary

We are looking for a finance professional with strong technical capability not an IT person, but a finance analyst who speaks both business and technology. In this role you will have the opportunity to make our forecasting systems smarter, faster, and easier for end users across the enterprise.

Qualified candidates will have previous experience in a finance systems analyst capacity - possessing a strong FP&A foundation, and technical fluency in tools like EPBCS, Essbase, SQL, and Power BI.

In addition, this person will need to demonstrate the critical skills of combining business acumen and technology expertise to enhance forecasting, reporting, and automation across Shared Services Finance.

Core Skill Areas :

1. Business and Finance Acumen

• Background in Finance, Accounting, or FP&A understands how forecasts, budgets, and reports are built and used.
• Can translate what finance leaders need (e.g., variance explanations, forecast changes, driver-based models) into system logic and reporting solutions.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or corporate finance experience preferred.

As an Advisor, you'll provide financial consultation, planning and analysis for a major business operations (state, product, business unit, etc.). This includes coordinating the development of operational forecasts and budgets and reporting on financial income, loss and expense measures. You'll serve as a key member of leadership team.

Key Responsibilities :

Reporting Relationships : Reports to the Director / Officer. This is an individual contributor role.

Typical Skills and Experiences :

Education : Undergraduate studies in finance, economics, accounting or statistics; advanced degree in financial field is desirable.

License / Certification / Designation : CPA preferred.

Experience : Typically, eight or more years financial experience including financial analysis, planning, forecasting, actuarial or auditing. Insurance industry background desirable. Prefer at least three years project leadership, management or supervisor experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills : In-depth knowledge of statistical / financial analysis, financial statement and budget preparation. Knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting practices and insurance / financial services business requirements. Project management concepts and techniques. Prefer familiarity with specific state, product or business unit operations.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
